Developing a new, product-led brand personality and visual language to connect ALTR with their core audience
ALTR is a data security platform that simplifies data security and data access governance helping teams increase efficiency, reduce complexity, and manage risk. The company began as a solution to address complex data privacy and protection challenges present in algorithmic options trading technology. They soon discovered their solution had much wider applications across multiple industries and for organizations of all sizes and that they needed a brand and website that appealed to this wider audience.
ALTR initially targeted enterprise IT and security leaders, resulting in a serious, authoritative brand. However, when they shifted to a product-led growth model aimed at data scientists, they found their tone too distant and cold. To address this, we focused on ALTR's core values—determined, inventive, and reliable—while simplifying both their messaging and visuals. We refreshed their website with a modern, engaging design, incorporating interactive features and animations to better highlight their product’s ease of use and integration. This transformation not only made their website more user-friendly but also aligned with their new, approachable brand, which was further showcased through playful custom booth and client engagements at a major industry event.
