We do a lot of static design work. A lot. One-pagers, decks, ToS pages, billboards, open graph images, and on and on. But we love doing animation when we get the chance and when it makes sense for the project.
Tethr did (and still does under their new brand Creovai) conversational intelligence and has a friendly, approachable brand. At key spots on their website, we wanted to create little moments of joy that played off of the flow of conversations. These animations were be tied to scroll so users would always see them play at the right times and, once played, they stopped so as to not distract users from the content on the page.
Animations on hover or scroll are great for CTA blocks or when you want to guide the user’s attention. Motion design should be purposeful: to create memorable experiences and to help drive conversion.
